All is Fair

All is fair
In love & war
I was waiting for the night to disappear

All is gone
Rabbits outrun us
Still waiting for the night to disappear

I got tired of the midnight choir
Keeping me up underneath your shirt
Singing sad songs at the end of the world
Come down to me let’s unravel this hurt

At modest times
I pick you up perfectly
Everything sweet and complete

In my time
I fall at your feet
Like some desperate last sip of wine

When I sing do you listen?
Do your teeth sharpen & glisten?
Do you the count the days away like there were none?

All is fair
In love & war
So they say when they don't have their way

I'm so bored of this still life sketch
My heart is a bomb, my appetite's whet
Counting the breaths from your last set of steps
Come down to me
Let’s unravel this ache
Tonight

All is Fair

Bare Minimum

You live a little
Then you get high
The bare minimum gets you by

You drink a little
Then you get dry
The bare minimum gets you by

Had some drinks
A smoke
Let myself go
Tried to hit the bottom
The bottom was too low

You give a little
Then you get broke
The bare minimum lets you choke
On the death of another daydream
You shake the night but you can’t shake the scream

You make plans
For the quiet life
You make plans
For a better life
You drink a little
Then you get high

We wave flags of distress
Blame the winter
Blame our mothers
Find another same road
Take another same road
We wave our hands in the air
Blame our fathers
Blame the others
We don't care
We don't care
We don't care

Bare Minimum
